Theodore Koinis
Theodore X. Koinis, MBA, CFP®
Ted Koinis is a
founding partner in Helios Wealth Advisors, LLC. Ted brings more than
12 years of investment and planning experience, as well as a keen
insight into the technologies and methods needed to provide leading
edge service to our clients.
Ted is
responsible for the overall experience each client enjoys with our
firm. From developing retirement plans and investment proposals to
monitoring the investment markets and the managers employed, Ted
strives to ensure each client’s goals are being met.
Prior to
founding Helios Wealth Advisors, LLC, Ted spent over 9 years at
Financial Synergies as a senior advisor. While there, Ted developed
retirement plans, monitored investment performance and advised clients
on all aspects of their wealth. He was responsible for the management
of over $100 million in assets at the firm. He also served on the
company’s Investment Committee.
Ted passed the
rigorous Certified Financial PlannerTM exam in March of
2003 on his first attempt and is authorized by the Certified Financial
Planner Board of Standards, Inc. to use its prestigious CFP®
designation. Ted is an Investment Advisor Representative with Helios
Wealth Advisors. He is also a member of the Financial Planning
Association.
Ted is an active
member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Houston, TX
where he served on its Parish Council on 2 separate occasions for a
total of 9 years. He was Treasurer for 5 of those years. He
currently advises the church’s Endowment Board. Ted also served as a
director of the Southwest High School Charter School in Houston, TX.
Ted obtained his
Masters in Business Administration from the University of Houston in
1992, having concentrated in the area of Finance. He earned a
Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1984.
Ted lives in
Pearland, TX with his wife of 19 years, Pauline, and their 3 children,
Stacie, James and Nicholas. Ted enjoys golfing, but has put that
on the back-burner to enjoy watching his children excel at baseball,
basketball, soccer and music.
